Gulf Coast Airways to continue daily air service to Key West, FL, four times a week.

Gulf Coast Airways, has announced the continuation of daily service to Key West after all efforts failed to attract a suitable commuter service.  Our "WISH IS YOUR DEMAND".

Naples, FL, February 24, 2010:   Gulf Coast Airways, a Federally Approved On Demand Air Charter Company, continues to fly to Key West, Florida, The service was discontinued earlier last year by another carrier which left many people not having a way to get back and forth to Key West.  In the past this service was provided by various carriers for more than the 30 years.

The service leaves Naples Municipal Airport at 9:00 AM Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings, and return to Naples at 11:00 AM the same day.  Same day services are available also. Air travel to Key West is approximately 41 minutes each way.  The service will be from Gate1 at the Airline Terminal where the car parking is FREE. 

GCA continues this service as authorized by FAA and the Naples Airport Authority, for as long as there is demand for such services.  Mr. Johnson said “The commuter status needs 2 passengers each way to break even.  There is an Air Fare of $135.00 per seat each way, depending upon availability.  The capability will increase with demand and additional aircraft will be added to accommodate those who want the service. 

Naples Airport Authority, “The best little airport in the country and a good neighbor”, is encouraging people to think what the airport can do for them.  The airport has several available services including private charters, aircraft maintenance, air ambulance service, a restaurant with runway seating and automobile rental agencies with all the major companies represented.
